MPP Phones

MPP based phones are Cisco Phone Series 6800, 7800, 8800. MPP stands for Multiplatform Phone Firmware. MPP software is designed for Cisco IP phones to work with third-party call control systems, such as Asterisk and Cisco Webex Calling.

MPP software has an in-built API that is a software module called  'MPP Remote SDK API'. It part of the MPP software and can be enabled on the phone's web page. UPLINX Phone Control Webex will then control the phone from remote and take screenshots through the  'MPP Remote SDK API'.

UPLINX has been working with Cisco for a feature enhancement to enable and configure MPP phones from the Cisco Webex Control Hub. At current this feature is not yet available, hence it must be manually enabled as per Enable MPP Phone for Remote Control.
