  Understanding Bulk Extension Mobility

The Bulk Extension Mobility wizard, located under Bulk EM tab of UPLINX Phone Control Tool, enables you to perform Cisco Extension Mobility-related activities for a large number of Cisco end-users and phones.

Phones can be selected manually through a filterable search, or device names can be loaded from files. The results of bulk status operations can be stored in CSV format, which can then later be loaded as command actions for another bulk job.

The following Extension Mobility operations are supported:

Get Status: exports selected phones' Extension Mobility status (phone name, end user id currently logged-in and their Cisco device profile). If the input is a CSV file and only partial information is provided (e.g. phone name without device profile, or Cisco end user without phone name or device profile), the missing information is resolved via CUCM.

Logout: logs out the current Cisco end user on selected phones. The output file contains phone details, status of the operation and Login action.

Login: logs in specified Cisco end users on selected phones. Input must be a CSV file containing required information such as phone name, Cisco end user id and user device profile.

Commands: accepts a manually edited CSV file as input. The Action column specifies which action (login, logout, status) to perform.

Please see Bulk Extension Mobility CSV File Format for details about the command file to specify which action (login, logout, status) to perform.
