  Retrieval Settings

The following Phone Inventory Settings will influence the retrieval process. Recommended defaults are shown in the image below:

Ping phones to test connectivity
This will ‘ping’ a phone to verify connectivity. In networks with poor connectivity this will improve the total reporting time as ping timeouts require less time than HTTP timeouts.
Recommended: On.

Automatic User Locale detection
This will use information from CUCM in the field ‘User Locale’ to determine the language of the phone web pages. It is recommended to have this setting enabled. You might disable this if there are no other user locales than ‘US English’ installed on CUCM.
Recommended: On.

Retrieve phone data with concurrent threads
If ticked, several threads will be used concurrently to retrieve data from phones. This will be faster. If not ticked, phone information will be retrieved one by one and report generation will take longer. It is recommended that this option is enabled unless issues are experienced. Recommended: On.

Disable retrieve phone data
If enabled, no data will be retrieved from phones. This should be disabled in general. If enabled, only configuration data will be collected from CUCM, without data from phones (for example when the phone web server is disabled or there is no network access to phones). If enabled, phone data such as serial number, neighbor information will be missing but registration and configuration data from CUCM will be included in the report.
Recommended: Off.
