  Provisioned Users Report

The Provisioned Users report of UPLINX Report Tool aims to report on Cisco end-users who have been provisioned, including their devices and Unity Connection voice-mail. Reports are generated as HTML, Excel and CSV. Excel and CSV formats are primarily targeted to allow further processing of the data. Hence a flat, non-hierarchical output format has been chosen which generates many data columns for each end-user. Word report generation has been intentionally disabled for this report type as the many data columns per end user do not fit on a page.

The Provisioned Users report is generated by reporting on all CUCM end users and then adding the following information per user:

Cisco CUCM end user information.

User status. The user's status will be In Use if there is at least one controlled phone, UDP, associated RDP or voice mail for this end user. Otherwise, it will be Not In Use .

Controlled phones of end users or phones that have the owner user ID set to this end user. Phones are further classified as hard phones and softphones. A maximum of 2 hard phones and 3 soft phones are included for each user.

Controlled device profiles of end user.

Voicemail information for one or multiple Cisco Unity Connection servers. If one CUC server is used, the voicemail is identified by the CUCM end user's primary extension setting. If multiple CUC servers are used, then the voicemails are found via the voicemail profile assigned to the user's primary extension. If the voicemail server is not CUC, no voicemail information will be retrieved.

Assumptions

To generate the report and to find associated devices and voice mail information, the following assumptions have been made:

End-users have the devices assigned and/or owner userid of phone is set to end user. This is generally the case.

Hard-phones are any phone starting with SEP and any phone not classified as softphone.

Soft-phones include Cisco Dual Mode for IPhone/Android, IP Communicator, Jabber for Tablet, and Unified Client Service Framework .

The voicemail extension is derived by the CUCM end-user's primary extension field. When multiple CUC servers are using, the voice mail profile is used to identify the CUC server for retrieving voicemail details.

How to generate Provisioned Users reports

Perform the following steps within Report Tool:

Step 1. Select Provisioned Users Report and click the Generate Button

To generate the report, select the Provisioned Users Report, then click the Generate Provisioned Users Report button.

Step 2. Select Report Fields

Checked fields will be included in the report. Each added field will add a data column to the HTML, Excel, CSV report.

Step 3 . Set Voicemail Profile and CUC Servers Mappings (if multiple CUC servers are present).

Choose the option that applies to this Cisco Unified Communications deployment. If no CUC server is used or only one single CUC server is used as the voicemail server, no extra configuration is required. When multiple CUC servers are used, each voicemail profile needs to be mapped to a CUC server. Please refer to the picture below. When a voicemail profile is not mapped, no voicemail box information will be included in the report.

Step 4. Click Generate Report
