The UPLINX Report Tool is available in the following license types:

Basic license
The Basic license is a ‘Right to Use’ license that allows the generation of CUCM configuration reports, Phone Inventory reports and Audit reports of Configuration/Phone Inventory reports on 1 reporting client for one Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Callmanager) cluster identified by the CUCM publisher IP address. The license does not expire but is bound to a single Cisco major version (i.e. 12, 14 or 15) and the CUCM publisher’s IP address. Software upgrades are included for the life time of the software. It only includes CUCM reports. Reports for other Reports for other Cisco UC server types are included in the Standard license (see below).

Standard license
The Standard license is a ‘Right to Use’ license that allows unlimited reports on 1 reporting client for one Cisco UC cluster identified by the CUCM publisher IP address. The license does not expire but is bound to a single Cisco major version (i.e. 12, 14 or 15) and the CUCM publisher’s IP address. Software upgrades are included for the life time of the software product. It includes reports for all supported servers . It is ideal for a network that has one Cisco UC cluster.

Professional license
The Professional license is a ‘Right to Use’ license which allows unlimited reports on one reporting client for any Cisco UC cluster. This license expires after one year. It can be extended for another year for 50% of the initial purchase price. It is ideal for an individual consultant or for a single reporting server.

Enterprise license
The Enterprise license is a bundle of up to 12 Professional licenses for up to 12 users (typically engineers or consultants for Cisco UC). This license expires after one year. It can be extended for another year for 50% of the initial purchase price. It is ideal for system integrators, telecom operators or large enterprise networks with several clusters.

Licenses can be used on Microsoft Windows Terminal Servers. One License is required per user account, please see Per-User Licensing and Terminal Servers.

 

Hardware ID (HID)

The desktop edition of the UPLINX Remote Phone Control tool is bound to a single windows machine, which is identified by the Hardware ID (HID). The

Hardware ID (HID) is calculated out of:

Security ID of the windows user.

MAC address of the Ethernet card (physical or virtual)

Processor ID (if avail)

License options and the Hardware ID (HID) appear in the UPLINX Remote Phone Control in the 'About' tab.

 

Without a license applied, Phone Control Tool operates in demo or trial mode. Please see Trial Limitations.
